Bismillah ir-rahman ir-raheem
(In the name of God the most compassionate most merciful),

I came across a specific comment on a Youtube video I was watching. I don't remember that video now but I did screenshot this long comment for my own reference.

Alhumdulillah I have come across this comment and I want to share it with you.

As a muslim, we know the general rules to follow of being kind, humble, and following the messengers of Allah. But when it's put into a simple list, I feel like it's easier to slowly implement and follow.

So, here I am sharing these in a series in hopes it may help the next person who reads this. Regardless if you are muslim or not.

The text will be written like this:
The teaching (Surah:Ayat)
"The quoted ayat"

To keep it simple and not too lengthy, I will do each post with 7. So there should be around 11 posts in total, I will try to do 1 each week, inshallah.

Transliteration is The Clear Quran from Dr. Mustafa Khattab

Don't lie (22:30)
"That is so. And whoever honours the rituals of Allah, it is best for them in the sight of their Lord. The ˹meat of˺ cattle has been made lawful for you, except what has ˹already˺ been recited to you.1 So shun the impurity of idolatry, and shun words of falsehood."

Don't spy (49:12)
"O believers! Avoid many suspicions, ˹for˺ indeed, some suspicions are sinful. And do not spy, nor backbite one another. Would any of you like to eat the flesh of their dead brother? You would despise that!1 And fear Allah. Surely Allah is ˹the˺ Accepter of Repentance, Most Merciful."

Don't exult (28:76)
"But when Moses came to them with Our clear signs, they said ˹arrogantly˺, “This is nothing but conjured magic ˹tricks˺. We have never heard of this in ˹the history of˺ our forefathers.”

Don't insult (49:11)
"O believers! Do not let some ˹men˺ ridicule others, they may be better than them, nor let ˹some˺ women ridicule other women, they may be better than them. Do not defame one another, nor call each other by offensive nicknames. How evil it is to act rebelliously after having faith! And whoever does not repent, it is they who are the ˹true˺ wrongdoers."

Don't waste (17:26)
"Give to close relatives their due, as well as the poor and ˹needy˺ travellers. And do not spend wastefully."

Feed the poor (22:36)
"We have made sacrificial camels ˹and cattle˺ among the symbols of Allah, in which there is ˹much˺ good for you. So pronounce the Name of Allah over them when they are lined up ˹for sacrifice˺. Once they have fallen ˹lifeless˺ on their sides, you may eat from their meat, and feed the needy—those who do not beg, and those who do. In this way We have subjected these ˹animals˺ to you so that you may be grateful."

Don't backbite (104:1)
"Woe to every backbiter, slanderer,"

Leaving a little note here: There are many times multiple ayats will cover each rule. I have only shared one from each, and if you're interested I encourage you to read the Quran.
